Life As We Live It ... on the road with Coleen and Bob

Where In the World Are Coleen and Bob?
(And Just What Are They Doing?)

Last week was a hot one! As I write this, it's a pleasant 65 degrees. Seems that fluctuating weather is the norm across the country. I guess that is typical of spring.

We're seeing a change in RVers here. Full-timers and winter Texans are leaving, heading north for the summer. Campers are moving in. Port Mansfield is a popular summer playground and fishing spot for Texans and we're seeing more of them. They are leaving their trailers for the season, returning to use them on weekends and holidays.

Bob has another article for you this week. And, as usual, there are a couple of my articles and some RVing tips. We hope you find them useful.

Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Your Electricity Costs Can be Low, Even with Metered Electric

Electricity costs for campground owners are constantly rising. It is not unusual to find that they are installing individual electric meters at each site. There are ways you can keep your costs down.

Right now, I am looking out my screen door. My neighbor's window is open as far as it will open. I am also listening to the drone of the air conditioner on his roof, at the rate of 18 cents per kilowatt.

RVing Tip

To keep your shower curtain in place, so water doesn't get on your RV floor, add another hook inside the shower. Use a small, plastic towel or coat hook, the kind that has the peel and stick adhesive on the back. Put it a few inches in, on the side wall adjacent to the shower opening, so that your shower curtain forms a curved shape.
