Kansas has wonderful, free, city campgrounds. Some, such as this one, are fee-by-donation and ask you to register. The registration envelope doubles as a place for you to put your donation to help support the campground.

Concrete pads mean you don't need to put blocks under your hydraulic jacks. Unlike blacktop pavement pads, the jacks won't punch a hole through the concrete.

Some of the sites are pull-throughs. They are long enough and far enough apart for large RVs with slides. Some sites have picnic tables at them. Some have BBQ grills. There is a bathroom, but no showers.

Pets are welcome. As is typical, they are to be on a manned leash when they are outside of the rig.

The outside areas of the park were neat and clean. The bathrooms get a lot of non-campground traffic.

There is a sheltered picnic area and a children's playground. These are located within walking distance. But, they are far enough away from the campsites that the noise and traffic from them doesn't interfere with the park's peacefulness.

There's no cable TV or wifi available. My cell phone worked fine.

Concordia is a relatively small town. It has most of the services RVers need. We found one local, sit-down and be served café that was open for breakfast.

We enjoyed the resident animals at this city campground. We counted dozens of robins. Squirrels scampered from site to site. There are also three cats that live at the park.

Airport Park Campground is located adjacent to US-81 Highway, Concordia, Kansas. It is on the edge of town, across the highway from Wal-Mart.
