Hana Restaurant Korean Grill and Sushi Bar in Rapid City, SD

Hana Restaurant is the small café locals seem to return to time and time again for Korean food in Rapid City. A Korean grill and sushi bar, it claims to bring the finest Korea and Japan offers to SD. Korean Restaurant Food Lunch Box

We stopped at Hana for a late lunch and each had a Lunch Box special. With the Lunch Box, you choose an entrée. Then, you choose either four California sushi rolls or white rice. Additionally, you choose between two gyoza or an egg roll. They also come with a small lettuce salad topped with house dressing. Bob chose the beef bui gogi, the California rolls, and the gyoza. I had the pork bui gogi, rice, and the eggroll. Shared, that gave us a variety of things to sample.

Our lunches were served in box shaped dishes. The rectangular, high-sided plates were divided into four sections. Each food item was served in its own compartment.

Bui gogi is barbecued, sliced meat, marinated in a special sauce. You may know gyoza as pot stickers or fried dumplings. The California roll was a crab stuffing, small piece of cucumber, and a small piece of avocado rolled up in seaweed surrounded by rice.

The majority of the menu was sushi. They offer both sushi rolls and nigiri sushi.

If you are a frequent patron at Hana, you can get your name on the "Hana Wall." You have a special set of chopsticks with your name on the case they are in, which you use each time you return to the restaurant.

Hana is open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week. It is located next door to an Asian market. It is, incidentally, in the same building as Ron's Café, which we recommend for breakfast.

RV parking at peak lunch time would probably be difficult. They do have off street parking behind the restaurant, but it is shared with the Asian market and Ron's. We've parked our motorhome their numerous times with no problem.
