Life As We Live It ... on the road with Coleen and Bob

Where In the World Are Coleen and Bob?
(And Just What Are They Doing?)

Critters crossing the highway brought all traffic from both directions to a stop. Not moose, caribou, or bear...but mama duck with a whole string of baby ducklings. There must have been at least a dozen of the little cuties, skid addling across the highway as fast as their tiny little legs could go.

Oh, where has the summer gone? I wrote the above when starting the newsletter that should have gone out in June. The summer slipped by…celebrating Memorial Day turned to celebrating Labor Day.

I hope that you had a super summer RVing.

Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Sixteen years ago, we were enjoying beautiful Minnesota fall days at a county park just outside of my hometown, visiting my aunts and uncles. No, I don't have a super memory -- I have a cheat sheet, a simple database on my computer.

Cold Weather Winter RVing

Bob and I have wintered in RVs in South Dakota and in Alaska. Perhaps more significant than knowing that it is possible, is knowing that it can be comfortable. I've posted articles on our website describing some of the things we did winterize. Some show specifics of what we did to make a seasonal RV warm for the winter and how we managed to have running water and a working bathroom in the RV. There's also info on traveling in the RV during cold winter weather. You'll find those cold weather RVing articles by clicking here.

RVing Trend

Seen at the big RV show at Hershey, Pennsylvania…color! Travel trailers with bright exterior colors. They remind me of the vintage trailers, which also seem to be regaining popularity.
