Life As We Live It ... on the road with Coleen and Bob

Where In the World Are Coleen and Bob?
(And Just What Are They Doing?)

Bob's up on top of the travel trailer. He's cleaning the snow off the solar panels. Even in our Alaska winters, our solar system generates a lot of power for us. With the amount of daylight increasing each day now, we'll also see an increase in power output. One of the best things we did years ago in preparing to go full-time RVing was getting a good photovoltaic system. Our panels are now 20-some years old and still work very well.

The past couple months have sure been busy for us. In addition to the holidays, Bob and I both celebrated our birthdays. Bob had jury duty in December. I decided to take two online courses, so now find myself doing homework assignments. Bob and I hope your new year has gotten off to a great start and that 2014 is a wonderful year for you.

Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Answering Your RVing Questions

RV Breakdown Fears

A future RVer asks writes that she is afraid of having an RV breakdown. Bob gives her some practical advice -- and then wonders if his response scared her even more. Read what he wrote and share your comments.

A Simple Way to Help Pay for Your RVing Life and Travels

Seems everyone can use a little extra money these days. We recently signed up with Jerky Direct. So far, it is working very well for us. It's probably the simplest business I've ever seen. And, the jerky is delicious.

The Slow Cooker Debate

Is a slow cooker the perfect RV cooking appliance or a disaster in the making? There's a discussion, and a bit of a debate taking place. Click on the link below to see what all the stew is about.

Slow Cooker or Pressure Cooker

P.S. Speaking of stew, if you'd like to share a stew recipe that you make in your Crockpot or pressure cooker, please post it there for us. Share any RV friendly recipe you make in either of these appliances.
