If you have been to the West, then you know that it has some of the most picturesque places. Its neighbor, the Midwest, also has some sights that are undoubtedly breathtaking. It is home to a beautiful combination of natural and man-made sites. Here are some of the pretty places you will want to visit in the Midwest.
1. Wisconsin area
If you are like me, then you agree that bridges can make such a beautiful sight. In Eau Claire, you can find nine distinct footbridges. These bridges span the Chippewa River which meanders throughout the city.
2. Check out Minnesota
The Devil’s Kettle Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls that you will ever lay your eyes on. The Brule River splits into two waterfalls here. One goes over the rockface just as with other waterfalls. However, its partner seems to have disappeared into a hole found underground.
3. Go to Indiana
There are imported gondolas here that will make for such a lively experience. You can paddle and kayak as much as you like here.
4. Tour Kansas
This imposing steel structure stands at 44-feet and is weighed more than five tons. The sculpture is accessible through two footbridges that are suspended around it.
5. Michigan
There is an explosion of color in these gardens in July. However, the main attraction here is a 125-feet working windmill that was brought from the Netherlands.
6. A valley
There is a reason why this national park attracts more than two million visitors every year. Its breathtaking beauty never fails to impress. Locals usually recommend taking pictures of the park from the comfort of the Cuyahoga Valley railroad.
7. Nebraska area
There is a former dumpsite that has grown to become a popular attraction. If you are a huge plant enthusiast, then this is your destination. It has tulips, as well as annuals, perennials, and everything else in between.
8. North Dakota
These badlands are incredibly beautiful and the ideal place to be taking pictures. The North Unit has a 14 miles scenic drive that has some dramatic views.
