Saigon Bay Vietnamese Restaurant

Tampa, FL 33612
Phone: (813) 971-0854

Saigon Bay Vietnamese Restaurant is a family owned restaurant that has been serving Vietnamese food in Tampa for over 25 years. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The food was fresh and tasted good. Service was pleasant. Prices were reasonable. We wanted to try other places in town, but I could happily eat at Saigon Bay Vietnamese Restaurant several times a week. It's located in a strip mall, with adequate RV parking.

(Persia House of Kebabs, Morae’s Cafe)
1441 E Fletcher Ave # 123
Tampa, FL 33612
Phone: (813) 977-6018

I've seen the name of this Persian restaurant in Tampa, listed three different ways: Persia House of Kabob, Persia House of Kebabs, and Morae’s Cafe. We had the lunch specials, which were a beef gyro and a pita sandwich with chicken. We also shared an appetizer plate. It was all very good, with reasonable prices. The restaurant has an attached store section of Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean groceries. (Get the cookies! Sorry, I don't remember the name of them, but they are a moist chocolate cookie, coated with more chocolate. They call them "cakes," and they come nine individually wrapped cookies in a black bag.) Parking is limited.

Nicolette's Caribbean Cafe
7605 N 56th St.
Tampa, FL 33617
Phone: (813) 374-2208

Nicolette's Caribbean Cafe is one of many restaurants serving authentic Caribbean food in Tampa. The menu is limited -- she simply told us what three choices were available. Both the jerk chicken and the curry chicken were very tasty, as were the side dishes. They went out of their way to provide excellent service. Portions are generous -- we had leftover to take out with us. The meat pie case was full when we arrived, and I had hoped to get a couple "to go," after we ate, however, by then they had all been sold -- locals apparently like them a lot! The cafe is located in a strip mall, with adequate parking for small RVs.

Shrimp Salad at Shells Seafood Restaurant North TampaShrimp Salad at Shells Seafood Restaurant

Shells Seafood Restaurant North Tampa
2101 E Fowler Ave.
Tampa, FL 33612
Phone: (813) 304-2170

Shells Seafood Restaurant North Tampa is one of several Shells in Florida. I was happy with the crab cake appetizer. Bob had a salad with sweet and tangy shrimp skewers. I took most of my shrimp and scallop alfredo home, and it tasted better the next day.  We had plenty of time to nibble on the complimentary in-shell peanuts while we waited. We went for an early dinner and there was plenty of room for RV parking.

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille
110 SE 1st St.
Gainesville, FL 32601
Phone: (352) 372-1555

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille is restaurant chain with Cajun food. The loaves of bread served before dinner were warm and crusty, and came with an herbed buttery spread. My favorite part of the meal was the grits cakes -- toasty on the outside, creamy on the inside. Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille is located downtown, where parking is very limited.

Domino's Pizza

Multiple locations.

Domino's Pizza is a standby when we want to have a pizza delivered and aren't familiar with which pizza places deliver where. It's easy to order online. I had originally ordered from a local pizzeria, but they called back a few minutes later to tell me they had no delivery person for my area and that they were canceling my order. We were glad to have Domino's to fall back on, and they had our pizza at our door within half an hour.
