Restaurants in Minnesota: RVing and Eating Our Way through Minnesota

Restaurants in Minnesota. In this Midwest melting pot, Scandinavian, Italian, and Vietnamize eateries share diners with ice cream, Spam, and Jucy Lucies. It’s a diverse selection of ethnic foods, gourmet dishes, and fast foods, along with traditional farm favorites.

Roast beef, pork chops, Swedish meatballs, walleye, lefsa, wild rice, hotdish, chicken and dumplings, Polish and pierogis…growing up on a Minnesota farm, those are the foods I associate with the rural areas. It’s what we ate at home, and those foods also graced the menus of local cafes. RVing in Minnesota, Bob and I look forward to the dishes we ate as kids, as well as the multiplicity the state offers.

Having left Atlanta, Georgia, on a hot and muggy day in July, and now having a layover in Minneapolis, it was time for a frozen treat. Dairy Queen was available. The cold, creamy confections were tasty and satisfying.
