Lil VOLs Diner or
Little Vols Diner
541 N Main St
Rocky Top, Tennessee 37769 (Also listed as Lake City, TN
(865) 630-1732
Biscuits and gravy, grits, fried green tomatoes, and fried bologna sandwiches -- with BBQ on Sundays. These and other downhome southern dishes star on the Lil VOLs Diner menu, in song-made-famous Rocky Top, Tennessee. Or, is that the Little Vols Diner in Lake City, TN? The signage can be a bit confusing, but look for the bright orange paint. The town changed its name to Rocky Top in 2014, so you'll still see reverences to it as Lake City. That trivia aside, the Lil VOLs Diner serves up excellent food, and the cook and waitresses couldn't have been any friendlier or more efficient.

Sitar Indian Cuisine
903 Parkway
Sevierville, TN 37862
(865) 366-1380
Sitar
Indian Cuisine has a lunch buffet, plus a menu. The restaurant was
quiet, clean, and a pleasant place to go for and Indian food lunch. (We
haven't been there for dinner.) It wasn't a huge buffet, but we enjoyed
the variety of chicken and vegetarian dishes. Sitar Indian Cuisine has
off street parking and we had plenty of room to park our motorhome.

Number 1 Chinese
Restaurant
574 Winfield Dunn Pkwy
Sevierville, TN 37876
(865) 453-9902
Number 1 Chinese Restaurant is also known as the Number 1 Chinese Buffet. We liked the food, the service, and the price. The food was fresh and frequently refilled, with steam table dishes hot, and chilled dishes sitting on a bed of ice. Some of the customers came primarily for the sushi, mussels on the half-shell, and chilled peel-and-eat shrimp. The price was downright cheap, especially for being in the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville tourist area. The No. 1 Chinese Buffet is in a strip mall, the same one with the Aldi grocery store. There is plenty of parking, even for large RVs.

Thai Basil
530 Winfield Dunn Pkwy
Sevierville, TN 37862
Phone: (865) 453-9339
The lunch we had at Thai Basil was fresh tasting, with mild flavors. We ordered appetizers, plus lunch specials that included soup and entrees. I expected to have some to take home, but the portions were so small that we finished it all -- and went somewhere else to get dessert afterwards. Thai Basil is located in a strip mall with a large parking lot, making it very RV friendly, even for big rigs.

Sakura Japanese Buffet
624 Parkway
Sevierville, TN 37862
Phone: (865) 429-2268
Sakura Japanese Buffet is a large buffet restaurant, with a sushi bar, hot and cold bars, and an open grill. It's a popular place -- the evening we were there, the line waiting to get a table extended out the door. To me, it seemed like a Chinese buffet with a Mongolian grill, however they call it a Japanese hibachi. The parking lot was crowded.
