Uniqued, Shingled RV with Carved Salmon

Unique RVs such as these stand out, even in Homer, Alaska, a community filled with artists and free spirits. We saw these unusual motorhomes this summer.

Both of these one-of-a-kind motorhomes are parked out on the Homer Spit. They are parked right next to each other.

With bright blue paint and wooden shingles and siding, this customized motorhome is hard to miss. The carved salmon adorning the front are perfect for it's current location in this busy Alaskan fishing village.

Note the window box planters and those around the front. Could be problematic if you were traveling frequently, but are a neat idea for longer stays.

I'm not sure what to say about the other RV, except that it is certainly not your typical, mass produced recreational vehicle. If I have the opportunity to meet the people who live there, I'll give you an update.
